What happens to the money?
- If a school raises money for ChallengeAid then fifty per cent of the money stays in your school to assist with the development of extra-curricular sporting activities.
- The other fifty per cent will be used to create “Schools of Hope” in the slums of East Africa but mainly Nairobi where there over one million people live. This will be used to pay for up-to-date Kenyan syllabus text books, desks, chairs, lighting and security. Also to assist some gap-year students in delivering education programmes.
- ChallengeAid has an over-riding principle – that none of the money raised by the children’s efforts will be used for administration costs: only for the purpose intended. All administration costs have been covered by separate sponsors
