Trans Wales Challenge

December 24th, 2012

The Trans Wales challenge takes place from the English border in Shropshire and ends just north of Aberystwyth.

The route is approximately 45 miles long and will normally be undertaken from dawn to dusk.

The challenge takes place amidst some of Wales’ most panoramic countryside including Plynlimon, sitting at the heart of the Cambrian Mountains but should only be undertaken by those who have high levels of fitness and stamina.

The Cost will depend on the accommodation required at the start and finish (camping, B&B or Hotel) and the numbers participating but a minimum sponsorship donation normally required would be £100 per person.

In addition to the registration fee/deposit and cost you commit to raising the minimum sponsorship as shown above. 50% of the fundraising target must be received by ChallengeAid no later than 4 weeks prior to the challenge. The other 50% of the remaining sponsorship must be sent to us no later than 4 weeks after completion of the event.

A quote from Richard Evans:

The groupTrans Wales2   “We had to work together as a team utilising navigational skills as well as keeping a focus to complete the Challenge.   It takes you right out of the comfort of an office environment and really ask questions of you as an individual.”
