ChallengeAid crowdfunds for new School of Hope

June 10th, 2019

It is all hands on deck at the ChallengeAid office for the next three weeks as we participate in a Global Giving Accelerator campaign. We are aiming to raise at least £4000 ($5000) from 40+ unique donors by June 28th.

So why are we doing this?

Firstly so we can raise funds to start a new School of Hope at St Benedict’s in Mathare, Nairobi. A SoH is a unique after school and weekend study club that provides children who live in the slums of East Africa with a safe, resourced and supervised place to study. We also provide study skills sessions, life skills workshops and music and sport activities. For many of the students that come to us a SoH is their only form of education.

This School of Hope is even more unique because it will be supporting former street children, who have been helped by the St Benedict’s centre in the last year.

We are also taking part in the accelerator to show we have a great support network, so yes we need you to donate  £5 to our project  but also to be our fundraising advocates and spread the news of the project and what we are trying to achieve.

We need you …… yes you …….. and we only have until June 28th to achieve our aim.
