Hadrian’s Wall- Open Challenge

Friday 10th  – Sunday 12th June 2016

An exciting new challenge for ChallengeAid for 2016:-

Starting at Chesters fort in the village of Chollerford and ending at the village of Lanercost with it’s ruined priory the 26 mile stretch of Hadrian’s Wall is ideal for anyone wishing to walk Hadrian’s Wall who has only two days available.

As well as following the most dramatic section of the Wall, you will also visit Chesters, Housesteads, Vindolanda and Birdoswald Forts.  The walk takes in the best preserved mile castles and turrets along Hadrian’s Wall and passes many other sites of historic interest including the Temple of Mithras, Saxon burial cists, medieval shielings, Willowford Roman Bridge and Pike Hill Signal Tower.

Registration / Deposit fee £75 when booking          Costs – an additional £175 pp

The balance to be paid at least 8 weeks in advance

(This includes 3 nights Hotel B&B, 2 evening meals and lunch for the 2 days of the challenge.

You raise at least £250 in sponsorship

Total Target—£500

In addition to the registration fee/deposit and cost you commit to raising the minimum sponsorship as shown above.

50% of the fundraising target must be received by ChallengeAid no later than 4 weeks prior to the challenge.

The other 50% of the remaining sponsorship must be sent to us no later than 4 weeks after completion of the event.
