WELSH THREE PEAKS – OPEN CHALLENGE TO SUIT YOU

The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge will take place in the three peaks of Wales, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the North, Cadair Idris in mid-Wales, and Pen y Fan in the South. Whilst Snowdon is the highest peak in Wales, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan are much lower, and are chosen for their position rather than height.
The aim is to climb the mountains and travel between them all in a day. The climb would normally but not necessarily take place on a Saturday.
The ascent of Pen-y-Fan would normally commence at 05.30hrs and the descent of Snowdon completed by 19.30hrs. Having completed the Challenge, the group normally stays overnight in a hotel in Llanberis enjoying a celebratory team meal before returning to South Wales if applicable and dispersing the following morning. Or, this Challenge can start at Snowdon and finish at Pen y Fan.
Participants in the Challenge need to be well prepared and in good physical shape though no previous climbing experience is essential.
We can arrange the Challenge for your group on a date that specifically suits your schedule.
