Official Opening Ceremony of Burkha SoH

This was the official opening of Burka SoH in Arusha, Tanzania. It is based on a primary school of 1,400 pupils and has been set up in partnership with The Goodall Foundation. Pics: Opening ceremony; many children in the classroom; Mr Ernest the Headteacher.

Iestyn Thomas in Kenya and Tanzania

Iestyn Thomas arrived in Nairobi Monday morning and then travelled to Arusha, Tanzania on a six hour bus ride and started work. This photo was taken of Mount Meru towering over Arusha in Tanzania where we held the Headteachers management conference today. Looks green but real poverty #teachers empowering pupils.

King’ong’o School of Hope

King’ong’o is one of our three Schools of Hope in Nyeri, 100 miles north of Nairobi in the foothills of the Aberdare Mountain Range. The SoH being built will be one of the largest SoH’s in existence.
